According to the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges), in 2014, only 16% of foreign applicants matriculated into a U.S. medical school. Contributing factors to this large pool of unsuccessful applicants may include missing prerequisites, poorly written applications, missed deadlines and financial obligations.
